Call for support for Ukraine

The Association of Professional Theatres of the Czech Republic calls on Czech theatres, cultural, public and state institutions to symbolically support the inviolability of state territory by flying Ukrainian flags on our buildings.

Russia's aggressive, threatening and dangerous political and military activities remind us of the most tragic moments in modern European history. There is only one way to resolve any disputes between states - negotiations within the framework of law.

We think of our excellent colleagues in Russia and Ukraine, among whom we have many friends. We believe that they too are on the side of democracy, freedom and cooperation without wars and aggression. We offer them help and support if necessary.

Let's show together that we are capable of dialogue and mutual respect.
