The Pardubice Theatre will continue to be led by Petr Dohnal
The current director of the East Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice, Petr Dohnal, remains at the helm, having successfully defended his position for the fifth time in the bankruptcy proceedings. The future new head of the Pardubice branch, Thalia, has another six-year term ahead of him, and he will serve as director of the VČD until May 31, 2029.

"It is a great honor for me to continue to be at the head of such an important institution and to have the opportunity to further develop one of the most extraordinary cultural heritages in our city," comments the current and future director of the VČD Petr Dohnal on defending his position.
The jury of the audition included, for example, the president of the Actors' Association of the Czech Republic Ondřej Kepka, the director of the Klicper Theatre in Hradec Králové Eva Mikulková, the chairman of the Association of Professional Theatres Stanislav Moša, and the director of the IDU Pavla Petrová.
"The theatre has long been proud of its excellent results, its work and activities are at a truly professional level, as evidenced by the fact that the city theatre is known outside the region and ranks among the top institutions of our domestic scene. All of this would not have been possible without the managerial skills of Mr. Dohnal, who was able to create a quality background and a talented theatre company around him, which regularly presents new titles and constantly tries to expand the field of its activities. Mr. Dohnal is among the generally recognized experts in his field, which he also confirmed during the competition," says Jiřina Klčová, Deputy Mayor of Pardubice, who is responsible for the area of culture, about the results of the competition.
