Theaters will commemorate the sad anniversary of the war conflict

A year ago, the Association of Professional Theatres of the Czech Republic called on all Czech theatres, cultural, public and state institutions to support the inviolability of state territory by flying Ukrainian flags. The flags are still flying on our buildings because Russian aggression continues. The humanitarian, economic and moral catastrophe is deepening due to the fault of President Putin, the political leadership of Russia, his army and all who support them. The peaceful future of Europe is at risk.

Let us remember, with short gatherings in front of our theaters on the eve of the anniversary of this tragedy (Thursday, February 23), that we must persevere in our support for Ukraine, because it is the only path to sustainable peace, freedom, and justice. Let us play the Ukrainian anthem, remember all the victims, and thank those who continue to support the efforts to restore territorial integrity and independence.
