Theatre Newspaper Awards 2023

The winner in the drama theatre category was Jiří Havelka for directing the production Vykouření, which is presented by the Brno Husa na provázku theatre. In the musical theatre category, David Radok and Marko Ivanović won for the production Salome at the National Theatre Brno. In the puppet and visual theatre category, Šimon Spišák and Jakub Vašíček won for directing the production Zapnášní spolek českých a slovakských puutkářů práva: Kašpárek a zbojník, an international co-production project of Draku and the Bratislava Puppet Theatre. The female acting performance, regardless of genre, impressed the jury the most, Anežka Kubátová in the role of Dani in the production O Pavlovi from the repertoire of the Na zábradlí Theatre.
