MgA. Lukáš Průdek

Since December 2014, he has been the director of the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice.

In this center of South Bohemia, he studied at the Bishop's Gymnasium from 1993 to 1995. He then studied at the Christian Gymnasium in Prague until 2001. From 2001 to 2006, he studied at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, graduating with a master's degree in the production department. He completed his further education at the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the Kennedy Center, Washington DC, USA. Here he completed the three-year Summer Fellowship for International Arts Managers educational program.

From other work experience, he participated in teaching the course Strategic Management (Newton College, Brno) as an assistant lecturer in 2008-2009.

From his theatre experience, from September 2001 to September 2003 he worked as a production assistant at Studio Damúza. From September 2003 to December 2004, he was the artistic operations secretary and production assistant at the Nablízko Theatre. In July 2007, he participated as an assistant director at a stage concert for the revolving auditorium in Český Krumlov as part of the Český Krumlov International Music Festival. In July 2008, he was an assistant director at the South Bohemian Theatre, staging La Forzza Del Destino / The Force of Destiny. Both assistantships involved collaboration with soloists from the Metropolitan Opera.

In January 2001, he joined the Dejvický Theatre, where he held various positions - secretary of artistic operations (until August 2008), head of marketing and production (September 2008 to September 20011). At the end of his tenure, he also became deputy director of the theatre.

Married, wife Adéla, three sons Valerian, Antonin and Eduard.

He is actively fluent in spoken and written English, and passively fluent in German and Spanish.
