The current director of the East Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice, Petr Dohnal, remains at the helm, having successfully defended his position for the fifth time in the bankruptcy proceedings. The future new head of the Pardubice branch, Thalia, has another six-year term ahead of him, and he will serve as director of the VČD until May 31, 2029.

Martina Schlegelová, the artistic director of the South Bohemian Theatre, will be the new director of its drama from January 2024. Forty-two-year-old Schlegelová will replace Lukáš Průdek, who will be directing the Dejvické Theatre in Prague from January.
